00 [SPEAKER_02]: My mentor said, your goal has to be big enough that it scares up out of you. [SPEAKER_02]: He used choice words. [SPEAKER_03]: I've actually been coaching clients that way and surprise surprise. [SPEAKER_03]: They're hitting some of their goals. [SPEAKER_03]: What's the point of the goal? [SPEAKER_03]: To fail and you tried something and got even farther or is it too accomplished? [SPEAKER_02]: How do you actually put a real business goal together? [SPEAKER_02]: We have a very unique approach that Jared wants to share with us. [SPEAKER_02]: And me being a business coach and thinking so logically, I think I might have to coach him today. [SPEAKER_03]: So let's see, let's see, let's see what we go. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so you know, there's those personality types and a lot of people like any of grams or people like disc assessment.
45 [SPEAKER_03]: I love the disc assessment. [SPEAKER_03]: I like that. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, if you know the disc assessment, I'm a high eye. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm pretty much no other letter. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm almost all. [SPEAKER_02]: I think maybe I'm a seat if you don't know what I is It's inspirational. [SPEAKER_02]: Loves to be around people is a dreamer that's all they ever do. [SPEAKER_02]: They chase all the shiny objects I leave all the details out. [SPEAKER_02]: They they stress out the operations person in their business because operations are like yeah [SPEAKER_02]: There's 70 million dreams, which one do we start with? [SPEAKER_02]: How do we get all done? [SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, I don't know, figure it out, right? [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, and I'm creative. [SPEAKER_03]: And so I was so many ideas. [SPEAKER_03]: But if I did this as a test with our team meeting once, and it was amazing, someone needs to register this and make this a real test.
30 [SPEAKER_03]: Just tell everyone with an expo marker in a whiteboard, [SPEAKER_03]: your brain and how it thinks. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, well, that's it. [SPEAKER_02]: And don't say any more. [SPEAKER_02]: That's scary for you. [SPEAKER_02]: So if I saw your brain on a lightboard which I have multiple times, that's a bit scary for most people. [SPEAKER_03]: But I went first to say by example, and I drew like, I wish I would go to church. [SPEAKER_03]: And if you're listening, that's sound effect for like everywhere. [SPEAKER_03]: And I literally think of every single possibility out there [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: And I feel like Dr. [SPEAKER_03]: Strange, I think I've shared this part before.
11 [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like Dr. [SPEAKER_03]: Strange in the Avengers in game when he's using the timestone to analyze every possible situation that could happen. [SPEAKER_03]: And there was a million chances and only one of them they won. [SPEAKER_03]: So that's my personality, how my brain thinks, and then we had the next person go up, and it was more like [SPEAKER_03]: And then another personal slide is, and then there was another percent like it's a line, but then kind of a job, and then a line. [SPEAKER_03]: And I also guess who that one was. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's very interesting to see our brains, and we know that our brains think way differently. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And with that in mind, I just wanted to, [SPEAKER_03]: set the stage for my question about goals, which is knowing that personality, if anybody else relates to that personality, this is for you.
05 [SPEAKER_03]: If you don't relate to that personality, you're going to think this is a joke. [SPEAKER_02]: And so he's actually not a just as actually not a joke. [SPEAKER_03]: All right, okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Our producer's laugh and she's been through this. [SPEAKER_03]: She thought it was a joke. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I'm serious. [SPEAKER_03]: And there was an answer we came up with it. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: What's the point of the goal? [SPEAKER_03]: Is it to fail? [SPEAKER_03]: and you tried something and got even farther, or is it to accomplish it? [SPEAKER_03]: So you have that sense. [SPEAKER_02]: Because I don't know what a real true goal is to... [SPEAKER_02]: If we had past life, you would have been a philosopher, probably, yeah, actually. [SPEAKER_02]: You would have been a Greek philosopher back in the days of Alexander the Great or something like that.
48 [SPEAKER_02]: Things that seem unusual, I think the problem. [SPEAKER_02]: So your question is, what is the point of a goal? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, to fail it or to accomplish it. [SPEAKER_02]: And let me preface to fail it to get further along or to ask you to accomplish it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yep, because you could set a super ambitious goal. [SPEAKER_03]: And you're like, I know I'm never gonna hit this, but if I pick a lower goal, I'm gonna limit myself, and I'm gonna accomplish it, and then psychologically, I'm not gonna go even more. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, that's interesting. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I already hit my goal for quarter four. [SPEAKER_02]: Now I did it like really low. [SPEAKER_02]: My disc profile is I'm a high eye and a high D, right? [SPEAKER_02]: So like, I'm straight to the point, make fast decisions, find the right people, get them on board, go, right?
31 [SPEAKER_02]: That's me. [SPEAKER_02]: So I already have an answer in my head, but that's my answer. [SPEAKER_02]: What is your answer? [SPEAKER_02]: So my answer is this. [SPEAKER_02]: The goal of a goal. [SPEAKER_02]: The purpose of a goal is to accomplish it. [SPEAKER_02]: But the purpose of a goal is also not to limit yourself. [SPEAKER_02]: So a goal is set because you haven't gotten to that thing yet. [SPEAKER_02]: So the idea is to go beyond the limits of what you've been able to accomplish now and create [SPEAKER_02]: a accomplishable goal that forces you to get better so you can get it. [SPEAKER_02]: So in the meantime, you're going to most likely fail some of the outcomes you're looking for, but it will get you further. [SPEAKER_02]: But if you've already decided I can't accomplish it, then you will always never accomplish it.
12 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you might get forward, but I don't think in my opinion you should start off with. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's impossible to hit that. [SPEAKER_02]: I think there should always be that it's possible to hit it. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, the timeframe is different. [SPEAKER_02]: Number of the smart acronym, specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-tested. [SPEAKER_02]: I think where people don't feel like they accomplish goals is they're not realistic with a timing of it, right? [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's a few four goals. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so there's a 90-day timestamp. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: I also think that when you're sending goals, there's a dumb way to do it and the right way to do it, too. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: There's the dumb way of saying, hey, if I've never made a, you know, a million dollars, and I spent this whole entire year and I only made a hundred thousand dollars, how the heck am I going to make nine hundred thousand dollars in one quarter?
58 [SPEAKER_02]: Like that's, I think that that's also kind of like not attainable in the smart, like specific, measurable attainable. [SPEAKER_02]: it could happen, right? [SPEAKER_02]: It could happen. [SPEAKER_02]: So I think the best advice that I got. [SPEAKER_02]: And again, this is just me because I want to answer the question, but I don't think depending on who you're talking to, there's one right answer, right? [SPEAKER_02]: One right approach. [SPEAKER_02]: My mentor has a right answer. [SPEAKER_02]: to me. [SPEAKER_02]: Um, my mentor said, your goal has to be big enough that it scares up out of you. [SPEAKER_02]: He used choice words and it excites you because you know that once you accomplish it, that a life that you're going to have or the possibilities of that. [SPEAKER_03]: So, so the ones that scare me are too far away.
38 [SPEAKER_02]: Those are the two ways from where you're at right now. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: Do you do your little philosophy brain is always getting me this is. [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks a lot. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, as you bring faith into it too, now it's like, oh, like, hey, if I fail, I didn't really fail. [SPEAKER_03]: If I'm living in purpose. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because God's got me. [SPEAKER_02]: But the goal is to live in purpose. [SPEAKER_02]: You just have to find it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Specify it or take the measure and put it there. [SPEAKER_02]: The goal is always to accomplish it. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just the time frame, which you have to learn what you have to become. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: It's all with no matter what. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying don't try to do goals and don't set goals. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm saying you want to pursue goals. [SPEAKER_03]: I think you're only going to attract the high eyes.
20 [SPEAKER_03]: I think just like you do. [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody else has seemed like this guy's annoying me. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm talking about? [SPEAKER_03]: You know who I work well with, though, who the DIs. [SPEAKER_02]: Like for some reason, yes, yes, if you're in your pastures one too, yes, for some reason. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what it is. [SPEAKER_03]: I think I can relate. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm a little bit chameleon with them, and I like it when someone else knows exactly what they want, but I'm the one that has to help them get there. [SPEAKER_03]: I love that. [SPEAKER_03]: That sounds like our relationship. [SPEAKER_03]: It is. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm like idealist and creative enough to say, [SPEAKER_02]: My deed comes and says, Jared, I need your help. [SPEAKER_02]: This is what I need, right? [SPEAKER_02]: I just did that with an affiliate link on go high level just the other days like, hey, yeah, I have this amazing idea.
03 [SPEAKER_02]: It's going to change the world. [SPEAKER_02]: Jared, I need you to help me with the back end. [SPEAKER_02]: Can you help me with that? [SPEAKER_03]: And that's when I'm like, oh, my parking lot idea. [SPEAKER_03]: There was something that was parked there. [SPEAKER_02]: I get to move it around and I gave you permission. [SPEAKER_02]: And Azari calls me and says, why did you mess up his train? [SPEAKER_02]: Like, we were doing so good. [SPEAKER_03]: It's true. [SPEAKER_03]: Train of thought. [SPEAKER_03]: That's such a good analogy if you think about it. [SPEAKER_03]: It's hard to stop it. [SPEAKER_03]: Once it's going, it's hard to stop. [SPEAKER_03]: You kind of just need to get to the next thing you need. [SPEAKER_03]: I know. [SPEAKER_03]: I know. [SPEAKER_03]: Can I show you more about goals? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, go ahead. [SPEAKER_03]: I would encourage you, if you do feel like this, because you need to relate to your team, too, if these are posted goals was a realization I had. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not just about the way I think it's about presenting it to the team and the way that they can actually into.
45 [SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_03]: So that required [SPEAKER_03]: consultation with Azaria to come up with this, where brand OS clients is one of our Q4 goals. [SPEAKER_03]: The ambitious and the most complete we can get to feel really good is three because only do three per quarter. [SPEAKER_03]: Gotcha. [SPEAKER_03]: Because of the quality of what's more than I think. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and it takes about a good month to kind of get everything set up. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, before it becomes like, okay, we can handle another person. [SPEAKER_03]: Yep. [SPEAKER_03]: So specific to that. [SPEAKER_03]: goal, one person based on the past track record is probably the most realistic actually. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: It's very doable. [SPEAKER_02]: And then the ambitious bullshit.
26 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like I've set something up to where like let's do a million dollars while really that's when you need coaching because [SPEAKER_03]: There's something that Myron Golden says and you say all the time and I think comes into this and could help someone and it's B times do equals half. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so a goal is a have it's an output. [SPEAKER_03]: It's what we want. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and then it's he didn't ask me say it, but if you can get in with a business [SPEAKER_03]: Well, then you reverse engineer. [SPEAKER_03]: What do I need to be? [SPEAKER_03]: Who do I need to be? [SPEAKER_03]: And what do I need to do to get that kind of result?
09 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, what'd you say? [SPEAKER_02]: I do. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, if you don't have the outcome, like there's some ignorance around the have, like the goal that you have, like it's a goal because you don't have it. [SPEAKER_02]: So you don't know how to get there, especially if you don't have it, if you knew how to get there, you'd be there. [SPEAKER_02]: And any logical human being, unless you're just super freaking lazy, I do believe that you're lazy because you don't know how to get there and you're too lazy to figure it out. [SPEAKER_02]: That's why I think laziness happens, but that's enough of you, right? [SPEAKER_02]: You've only risen to the level of your ignorance and so your goals require you to do something different. [SPEAKER_02]: It requires you to be something different. [SPEAKER_02]: And most of most ambitious goals [SPEAKER_02]: requires you to first change how you see yourself.
52 [SPEAKER_02]: You're identity needs to shift. [SPEAKER_02]: My ring golden talks about this, too. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: There's an identity shift that must take place first in order for you to get what you want. [SPEAKER_02]: And so that's where people kind of get weird with it a little bit by opinion, like the IAM statements in this. [SPEAKER_02]: I think those things are good and relevant. [SPEAKER_02]: At the end of the day, you bring it down to a logically where you're at, like, who do you need to become? [SPEAKER_02]: I need to become something who is willing to continuously learn the skill that it takes to get what I want. [SPEAKER_02]: So if I don't know how to make a million dollars a year, I need to produce a mindset that gets me to learn a skill set, that gets me to do the activity to get there.
33 [SPEAKER_02]: Does that make sense? [SPEAKER_02]: So who do you need to become? [SPEAKER_02]: So this is your environment, your mindset, and then what do you need to do about it? [SPEAKER_02]: Like, what are the specific action steps around those things? [SPEAKER_02]: Like, for example, if you want to become a doctor, let's say that that's your goal. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Who do you have? [SPEAKER_02]: That's the half. [SPEAKER_02]: So who do you need to become? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, you need to be somebody who doesn't commit crime because you can't become a doctor if you have a felony. [SPEAKER_02]: Right? [SPEAKER_02]: You also need to become somebody who is really good studying because school's going to be crap. [SPEAKER_02]: You have to be somebody who appreciates education and biology and all that kind of stuff. [SPEAKER_02]: Great. [SPEAKER_02]: So that's what you need to become.
13 [SPEAKER_02]: What do you need to do? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, first of all, depending on your age and where you're at in school, you need to finish school. [SPEAKER_02]: You need to graduate. [SPEAKER_02]: You need to focus on your grades. [SPEAKER_02]: You need to focus on the right course is not just any course is then you have to find the right college in some cases. [SPEAKER_02]: Then you have to put yourself around the right people. [SPEAKER_02]: Right? [SPEAKER_02]: There's all those things and this is this is the part where a lot of people really get inpatient with it You have to do it for enough time Okay, I see if you're listening to this. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, quote and quote and everybody's time is measured differently You might be going to school part-time. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, then it's gonna be more time than somebody who's going full-time [SPEAKER_02]: If you have to pay for college, you might have to opt out and do some work before he go back to college.
53 [SPEAKER_02]: Right? [SPEAKER_02]: Let's say you're not good at your grades, so you've got academic probation, then you have to. [SPEAKER_02]: Right? [SPEAKER_02]: So the enough time is not the same measurement for everybody. [SPEAKER_02]: Does that make sense? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: But you do it enough, and only God knows, you know, when he created you, and then you're making your choices. [SPEAKER_02]: So those two things put together, the enough time is... [SPEAKER_02]: is on you, like you have to be willing to push through whatever it takes, even if you don't know it to get there. [SPEAKER_02]: And that's why I think goals get overlooked or just people don't prioritize it because they know the time is a measurement that's really hard for them to put in place. [SPEAKER_02]: So if I, when I talk to my clients, I'm like, okay, cool, how much time do you want to get that done in realistically?
35 [SPEAKER_02]: And it's all over the place. [SPEAKER_02]: The time is a hard part to measure. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, does that make sense? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And then it's like, why, like, why that dude, like, there's artificial due dates, right? [SPEAKER_03]: But then there's also, well, we'll do dates. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: Some of the things are just easy. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, why do you have to make this much money by the end of the month? [SPEAKER_02]: Well, because that's your break even number and you have to hit it to pay your bills. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: There we go. [SPEAKER_02]: That's a good one. [SPEAKER_02]: Right? [SPEAKER_03]: That's a minimum goal now. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: But then a certain time and a larger goal includes break even plus margin. [SPEAKER_02]: Then I also had trips that I wanted to take and those lost money. [SPEAKER_03]: I personally too want our business to do more for non-profits and being an overflow kind of state.
18 [SPEAKER_02]: So we need to create much money. [SPEAKER_02]: We can help people. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I kind of have a dream to where I start some sort of foundation, a non-profit or something, for non-profits, to have an awareness channel because they lack awareness channel and usually [SPEAKER_02]: I have two non-profits, I want them to use you. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just like, you need to make money. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a big passion of mine, but I see we're so many non-profits fail. [SPEAKER_02]: It's because the person who starts it, they become everything for the non-profit. [SPEAKER_02]: and they could only grow as much as what they're able to do. [SPEAKER_02]: So it's a structure kind of thing. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a structure, it's a mindset, it's scared to ask for support, not knowing where to get support.
00 [SPEAKER_02]: The majority of nonprofits are not even huge. [SPEAKER_02]: They're people that set it up thinking that they're gonna get big, but they don't. [SPEAKER_02]: That's sad, not on them. [SPEAKER_02]: They just don't know how to do it. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just, you know, non-profits are there to help. [SPEAKER_02]: So it's like, man, if they knew how to get the support, they can find the help before that specific need they're trying to help. [SPEAKER_03]: And that's where I'm wondering, like, what if through marketing, I can be really good at getting the support. [SPEAKER_03]: So they don't have or partner with the right company who is good at that part. [SPEAKER_03]: And then we call upon other non-profits. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's a non-profit, non-profits. [SPEAKER_02]: That's a goal. [SPEAKER_03]: That's a come. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, now there's no time though.
41 [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so it's not a proper goal yet. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just, uh, it's kind of a big wish at the moment. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And I do know things gotta fall in a place. [SPEAKER_02]: I do think that things need to start as a dream. [SPEAKER_02]: Right. [SPEAKER_02]: And sometimes dreams need to be parked for a second. [SPEAKER_03]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_02]: So that's probably a parking lot of dream. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for you when you're ready for all my dreams are parking. [SPEAKER_02]: We could take it and then we could other than Marion my wife. [SPEAKER_02]: That at one point was a dream, that it was a goal. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Then you learn how to woo her, then you take action. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: That's what a plan together took action. [SPEAKER_02]: And then. [SPEAKER_03]: And so one said, hey, yeah, you are good at sales, because you got your wife to say, yes. [SPEAKER_03]: Do you have to make commitment? [SPEAKER_03]: That is a hard sale. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm selling my wife every single day. [SPEAKER_03]: Don't say that. [SPEAKER_02]: That could be clipped, man.
23 [SPEAKER_02]: That could. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, she'll agree with you. [SPEAKER_02]: She's like, that's funny. [SPEAKER_02]: She's hard to get in all the good ways. [SPEAKER_02]: all the good areas like she's expects this and in a good way it makes me who I am. [SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes we have clashes but I think every marriage does, you know, because sometimes like you're expecting way too much or I'm expecting too much from her and she's like you. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so you're bringing up personal life now. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: And I can't talk much closer. [SPEAKER_03]: Would you say like this kind of my new personal brand is like higher quality business equals higher quality life and higher quality life equals higher quality business business. [SPEAKER_03]: So I like testing quality because I I like at least in the six years and you always point this out to is like seeing how correlated they are moving back and forth with each other.
08 [SPEAKER_03]: They marry each other. [SPEAKER_03]: And then it's like, if you're spouse, which mine is very, very, very supportive, but she's not in it. [SPEAKER_03]: So then it's like, if I'm married to the business, but also to her, you know, like, so it's all like the same thing. [SPEAKER_02]: You have to have a conversation about that. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: My wife used to be in the business. [SPEAKER_02]: We sold it. [SPEAKER_02]: She got out of the business, wants to come in, but right now we've decided at the season of life with our five kids. [SPEAKER_02]: It's best that she's focusing on home. [SPEAKER_02]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_02]: So to keep her busy, we have her working at the school. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't make much but house situation and it keeps her busy. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Which helps her to be supportive. [SPEAKER_02]: So my goal was like, hey, how do I get her to support me more?
51 [SPEAKER_02]: But she can't work in the business. [SPEAKER_02]: That was a goal. [SPEAKER_02]: I sold it. [SPEAKER_03]: I sold her, I go to this life philosophy, which is actually a sales move, I'll say, not tactic that the word tactic is kind of getting only, yeah, everything kind of is sales. [SPEAKER_03]: Just trying to talk about a tactic strategy strategies like the broader version that involves tactics. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: but guide towards conviction. [SPEAKER_03]: Don't convince. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, let it be convicting. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's like you're kind of control in the conversation based on leading questions and questions that lead.
34 [SPEAKER_03]: I do that for the way, but I do that for the way. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're coached. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, this is a thing. [SPEAKER_02]: People don't like to be sold, but they like to buy. [SPEAKER_02]: So if it's their idea. [SPEAKER_02]: So if it's your wife's idea to marry you, then you just [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think I did that in the original way. [SPEAKER_02]: We're probably going to get a lot of appeal on this one. [SPEAKER_02]: Which is fine. [SPEAKER_02]: Look, I'm not saying I'm right or wrong. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but he's not like this. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying, like, you know, I don't know, like this is just our perspective. [SPEAKER_02]: But go ahead to goals here. [SPEAKER_02]: Look, I think the question, the answer to your question is the goal meant to be accomplished or failed. [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's yes if failure gets you closer.
17 [SPEAKER_02]: If you're failing because you lose lazy, if you're failing because you just didn't put the right plan on place and you just didn't do it right, then no. [SPEAKER_02]: That type of failure is not going to help. [SPEAKER_02]: If you're moving towards the goal but you just hit it yet in the time frame, it's considered a timely failure but you can still hit that goal. [SPEAKER_02]: The answer is yes. [SPEAKER_02]: I think the first goal is to accomplish it. [SPEAKER_02]: It should always, the goal should be that accomplish it no matter how crazy it is. [SPEAKER_02]: But you're most likely going to fail either the whole thing or parts of it as you go because again you don't know what you don't know and part of the gap to fill between where you're at now and what you want to accomplish is the learning and the planning and the action and when you learn plan and act in between that you're going to find out that some things are just not good some things are amazing and the thing is is whatever's not good stop it what's amazing keep doing it.
09 [SPEAKER_02]: Like Alex from Mozi takes a very simple approach to accomplishing a goals. [SPEAKER_02]: Find out what's working to get you to that goal and keep doing more of it. [SPEAKER_02]: Like you talk about marketing. [SPEAKER_02]: Your marketing goal is to sell this much money and to do this as a result. [SPEAKER_02]: Find out what works, go all in on it. [SPEAKER_02]: I've actually been coaching clients that way and surprise surprise. [SPEAKER_02]: they're hitting some of their goals. [SPEAKER_02]: Are they getting close to it? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Because marketing, for example, because that's a goal to reach a certain revenue amount, then you have a marketing goal to hit those things. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Marketing? [SPEAKER_02]: Man, people make it so complicated, bro. [SPEAKER_02]: So make it so complicated. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you're marketing. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you're marketing. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm a guy that will make it very complicated. [SPEAKER_03]: But that's why I have a team too. [SPEAKER_03]: And when I guide other people, I have to put it in terms for them.
53 [SPEAKER_02]: People hire you to make it complicated. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, so as a business owner, I can't make things complicated because I get my intention off it. [SPEAKER_03]: So I hire you to think all about all the complicated things. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's true, like my brain is meant for that. [SPEAKER_03]: However, okay, so this is my new kind of similar question and just a side part for the ending. [SPEAKER_03]: There. [SPEAKER_03]: When they say, keep it simple stupid, what are you keeping simple? [SPEAKER_03]: What is simple? [SPEAKER_02]: See, like here's the philosopher Jared activity, blue blazers, philosopher, yeah, what would you say? [SPEAKER_03]: I said, you should keep your activity simple. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, and then what does that mean? [SPEAKER_03]: Or is it concrete? [SPEAKER_03]: Is it like vast majority would say simple as this?
37 [SPEAKER_02]: I said, I think that's measured based off of the individual. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, like my marketing system and how simple it is right now is probably very complicated to start a business. [SPEAKER_03]: Because there's a lot going on, but it's simple to us now. [SPEAKER_03]: And I know in marketing, it needs to be heard in a simple way. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so I know that for a fact, that don't make it complicated. [SPEAKER_02]: Your consumer will either [SPEAKER_02]: React to your content or your ads or whatever it is based off of how simple they hear it and it hits a pain point And it gives him a hope for a for a solution. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's how simple you need to make it and then don't over Say let me tell you something and I think you know this already Your consumer doesn't think like you.
21 [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so what you think is good. [SPEAKER_02]: They're going to buck up against it. [SPEAKER_02]: I guarantee you that [SPEAKER_02]: If there's something to actually put a little bit of emphasis on, it's fine at what you can super wants to hear. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. [SPEAKER_03]: This is actually a hard one's back to time and money, I'll just say. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, hi, these, this is probably easy because they're simple. [SPEAKER_02]: Like they just straight line. [SPEAKER_02]: Hi, eyes, it's too much emotion at times. [SPEAKER_02]: Essas and seas is like you're overcompanying the process. [SPEAKER_03]: And hi, I for me, it's too much a lot. [SPEAKER_02]: There's more variability, but I think every eye is a bit different, like they're all variable. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's just say this. [SPEAKER_02]: You taught me this. [SPEAKER_02]: I learned this. [SPEAKER_02]: I do this. [SPEAKER_02]: Five to ten ads.
02 [SPEAKER_02]: Different messages all around the same concept. [SPEAKER_02]: Put somebody behind it, give it nine days. [SPEAKER_02]: See what your consumer actually wants to hear. [SPEAKER_03]: And then if I mind, I'm like, let's complicate it. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's put UTM tags on all of it. [SPEAKER_03]: And then when they click on it, and then there's a form, it can auto fill hidden fields on a form, so that if you have on your CRM to know where they came from, and there's relevance to that, though. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because the first time I did the ads, I forgot to put at least a basic form to qualify them in this in this in that I got calls, but they were poor leads. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so you know what we learned to do next time, put all these scenes qualify all the crap that you just talked about and [SPEAKER_02]: I watch Alex Ramozzi talk about, hey, like they need to be specific to somebody in a certain industry.
50 [SPEAKER_02]: So the ads now say, are you a residential cleaning company struggling to do seven figures? [SPEAKER_02]: They're almost there, but struggling with seven figures. [SPEAKER_02]: And you're trying to get out of all the busy work so you could run and scale your business. [SPEAKER_02]: We're offering two weeks of re-coaching. [SPEAKER_03]: Now, that's not what the whole ad said. [SPEAKER_02]: It has verbiage to hit that pain point. [SPEAKER_02]: Then I was like, are you an H fat contractor? [SPEAKER_02]: Are you a plumber? [SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna see which ones get the best. [SPEAKER_02]: Are you a law firm? [SPEAKER_03]: Relate relates to more solution. [SPEAKER_03]: That's my RRS. [SPEAKER_03]: Nice technique. [SPEAKER_03]: I just hate it. [SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of like a knee jab hook. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, you want to relate, you know, and sometimes that isn't always pain, but you can relate by like dangling a carrot in a vision or tell where they want to be exactly.
36 [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And then you relate some more, which if you went by pain, then you want to agitate the pain a little bit by just showing how this is what you usually see. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And then you go, here's the solution for it. [SPEAKER_03]: And that's like a really good storytelling. [SPEAKER_03]: For sure. [SPEAKER_03]: Text four ads. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: But the solution shouldn't be to hire you. [SPEAKER_03]: The solution should be the next step. [SPEAKER_02]: Always. [SPEAKER_02]: because you're going to eventually get to hiring you, or you're going to eventually say, go somewhere else because I don't like you, right? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, all you have to do is get to the next step. [SPEAKER_02]: So my ads, all I want them to do is get enough emotion to click on it and fill out a qualification form.
16 [SPEAKER_02]: That's it. [SPEAKER_02]: If they're qualified, they get a discovery call with one of our coaches. [SPEAKER_02]: If they're not qualified, we're starting a membership package. [SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait to talk to you, is about that, right? [SPEAKER_02]: So that'll be the thing that we move them towards if they don't qualify. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Our school and a membership package for all our seminars and workshops. [SPEAKER_03]: Then you're at least have the data to nurture and hundred percent could be money on the table, but they don't want to do the seminars. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like just the premium school. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: 97 bucks a month. [SPEAKER_02]: That's it's the next step. [SPEAKER_02]: Like you guys can convert so much. [SPEAKER_02]: If yeah, but let's get back to the main topic, goals. [SPEAKER_02]: You're to set goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time tested. [SPEAKER_02]: And yes, the answer is yes to both. [SPEAKER_02]: You are to fail them and to accomplish them, but the purpose should always be to accomplish the goal.
00 [SPEAKER_02]: You might fail along the way, you'll learn, you'll read course correct, and get that goal back up on there. [SPEAKER_03]: Does that answer your question? [SPEAKER_03]: It does, and that makes me like what we set out even more just for communication back to the team. [SPEAKER_03]: Where it's like, hey, here's our realistic number. [SPEAKER_03]: If we don't hit this, then this is bad. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: It's almost like a minimum number, but it may be a tad bit more, because it's additional to what we already have. [SPEAKER_03]: And then the ambitious is like, dude, if we get here, we're throwing a party. [SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I like all of that and then of course like if you're in charge of your own business So you can set up your own rules. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so it's like we accomplished all those seats And it was like the highest package that this is actually a lot of capacity to start training more people And we could see if within 60 days we could open instead of waiting for 90 days, you know, yeah [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, hey, actually, for you, we have one more seat.
54 [SPEAKER_03]: Have you ever said that, you know? [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I have. [SPEAKER_02]: And I said, hey, there's a waiting list. [SPEAKER_02]: So, purchase this right now in about a month or two if she's gonna open up. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh, waiting lists. [SPEAKER_03]: Those are gold. [SPEAKER_03]: They are. [SPEAKER_03]: If you are watching this on YouTube, [SPEAKER_03]: Awesome. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_03]: We would love a like. [SPEAKER_03]: Of course, leave a comment if you feel so led to and participate in like what are your goals and but we do have a school community and I want to invite you to that so that you can get in a room a digital room of other entrepreneurs and just just check it out. [SPEAKER_03]: There's a free seven day trial. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and there's two options too. [SPEAKER_02]: So just pick whichever ones relevant for you. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's start everything. [SPEAKER_02]: But if you want to see more of this stuff, you want to be part of a community.
34 [SPEAKER_02]: You want to get some courses for your business. [SPEAKER_02]: Click that school link. [SPEAKER_02]: Figure out what suits you best. [SPEAKER_02]: Stay strong and keep on keeping on.
